Pharrell and adidas Announce Limited “Triple Black” Virginia Adistar Jellyfish NYC Drop

adidas

A New York City exclusive brings Pharrell’s marine inspired Adistar Jellyfish to the streets in an all black execution.

NYC Launch Details

Pharrell Williams and adidas have launched a surprise limited release of the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in a Triple Black colorway. The NYC rollout is staggered across two dates: December 4 at Billionaire Boys Club Soho and December 5 at the adidas Fifth Avenue flagship, with a wider global release planned for 2026.

Design and Technical Touches

The Adistar Jellyfish blends biomorphic design with technical construction, its exaggerated midsole evoking the fluid motion of a jellyfish. This Triple Black edition features layered mesh uppers and dimensional exterior elements that create depth while maintaining a stealthy palette. Subtle glow in the dark accents complement custom Jellyfish and VIRGINIA branding on the tongue and insole, tying the concept to Pharrell’s playful, nature driven aesthetic.

Campaign and Context

The drop was teased around NYC with an “Imported from Virginia” delivery truck campaign that appeared at city landmarks ahead of the launch. Positioned at a premium price point the silhouette continues Pharrell’s long running exploration of nature technology and archival adidas silhouettes, translating an aquatic idea into a collectible sneaker moment.
