Onitsuka Tiger Reinvents a Classic With the MEXICO 66 SABOT

A Slip-On Evolution of a Classic

Onitsuka Tiger reworks its iconic MEXICO 66 into a more relaxed, summer-ready form with the SABOT mule. Inspired by the original 1960s training silhouette, this updated version removes the laces entirely, replacing them with an easy, backless slip-on design that prioritizes convenience without losing its retro identity.

Built for Texture and Breathability

The upper swaps traditional materials for a coarse, open-weave mesh made from a blend of synthetic and natural fibers. This construction not only enhances airflow for warm-weather wear but also gives the shoe a more tactile, texturized look. Signature Tiger Stripes remain intact across the sides, adding structure and contrast to the otherwise lightweight, breathable build.

Comfort-Driven, Everyday Wear

Underfoot, the SABOT is fitted with an OrthoLite™ sockliner for cushioning and shock absorption, paired with a flexible rubber outsole that keeps the profile low and easy to wear. Offered in a range of versatile colorways, the silhouette leans into casual styling, positioning itself as a go-to option for effortless, everyday rotation.
