Eight collaborative sneakers arrive alongside the grand opening of Kith Chicago.

The Chicago Debut

Ronnie Fieg is opening Kith’s newest flagship in Chicago this weekend, marking the occasion with a massive unveiling: the ASICS “World’s Fair” Collection. Eight unique sneakers will release exclusively at the store on October 4 before rolling out globally on October 6.

A Global Lineup

The collection draws inspiration from the World’s Fair, which has been hosted in both New York and Chicago. After reviewing dozens of prototypes, Fieg selected eight designs that pay homage to countries and cities across the globe. Four GEL-LYTE III colorways represent South Korea, Italy, Canada, and Brazil. A France-inspired GEL-LYTE III.I continues the international theme, while Japan is spotlighted in the GEL-MAI 0.1, a modernized take on the archival silhouette. Stateside influences appear in two flagship runners: a Chicago flag-themed GEL-KAYANO 14 and a US-based GEL-KAYANO 12.1.

Availability

The collection launches first at Kith Chicago on October 4, accompanied by a special event the night prior featuring a panel with Ronnie Fieg and ASICS. A full global release follows on October 6 through Kith stores worldwide and online.
