Nike Kobe 3 Protro Returns in All-White Halo Edition

protro

The performance-focused revival drops on Kobe Bryant’s birthday, August 23.

A Modern Update to a Classic

Nike Basketball continues to honor Kobe Bryant’s legacy by reintroducing his signature shoes in Protro form, updating classic silhouettes with modern performance technology. This time, the Kobe 3 makes its long-awaited return. Originally inspired by basketball nets, the shoe’s netted upper is now paired with a breathable mesh base for improved containment and airflow.

A fresh diamond-shaped geometry has also been added to the upper, a personal nod to Kobe’s eldest daughter, Natalia Diamanté. Meanwhile, the sole unit has been redesigned with a full-length Zoom Strobel, Cushlon 3.0 midsole, and updated traction pattern — all informed by feedback from athletes who played in the original Kobe 3.

The Halo Connection

Arriving as part of Nike’s annual “Halo” collection, the Kobe 3 Protro features an all-white colorway that joins the Kobe 8 and Kobe 9 Elite Protro in the series. The minimalist look underscores the shoe’s sculptural design while celebrating Kobe’s enduring impact on and off the court.

Release Information

The Nike Kobe 3 Protro “Halo” launches on August 23 — Kobe Bryant’s birthday — via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Retail is set at $210 USD, with additional colorways expected to follow in the future.
