The new collection blends workwear with Jamaican and Scottish heritage, paying tribute to Daley’s family roots.
Honoring a Musical Legacy
Carhartt WIP has joined forces with British designer Nicholas Daley to create a 13-piece Fall/Winter 2025 capsule. The collection celebrates Daley’s parents’ pioneering 1972 “Reggae Klub” in Edinburgh, a trailblazing reggae club night, while reflecting his core values of community, craftsmanship, and culture.
The Collection
Daley infuses functional workwear silhouettes with subtle nods to Jamaica and Scotland. The palette features rich blues, greens, and mustard yellows inspired by the St Andrew’s Cross flags. Key pieces include a reimagined Carhartt WIP chore coat in navy corduroy and indigo denim with contrast stitching, along with updated Vests and Double Knee Pants. Musical and cultural references appear through custom pin badges, club-night-inspired t-shirts, and a tartan record bag created with Daley’s mother’s knitting circle. A short harrington-style jacket and incense sticks made in collaboration with Japanese manufacturer Kuumba International further highlight the collection’s focus on ancestral craftsmanship and sensory experience.
Launch Details
Early access is available via Nicholas Daley and Carhartt WIP’s webstores and the Carhartt WIP app on October 22. The official global launch is set for October 23 at Carhartt WIP Store Shibuya, followed by an event at Carhartt WIP Store Brooklyn on October 24.
