The Spring/Summer 2026 edition is set to bring big-name activations, emerging designer debuts, and a fresh approach under new British Fashion Council CEO Laura Weir.
A New Era for LFW
London Fashion Week (LFW) is entering a new era. The Spring/Summer 2026 edition, running from 18 to 22 September, is the first season shaped by British Fashion Council’s newly appointed CEO, Laura Weir. The provisional schedule, released today, signals a push to elevate British fashion by decentralising events, increasing accessibility, and drawing global attention to both established and emerging talent.
According to the BFC, this season will feature 18% more shows and presentations compared to SS25. Weir recently announced a series of strategic moves, including scrapping fees for designer members to show on the main schedule and doubling investment in LFW’s guest program to attract top international press and buyers.
In her statement, Weir shared: “This season signals a designer-first approach to LFW that is ambitious, purposeful and rooted in the creative energy of London. My intention is to build on the foundations of LFW by focusing on cultural relevance, global competitiveness and meaningful support for designers.”
Returning Names and Buzzy Debuts
The lineup features iconic British brands like Burberry, Roksanda, Erdem, and Emilia Wickstead. They’ll be joined by a diverse range of independent labels, including Ahluwalia, Harris Reed, Labrum London, Marques Almeida, Paolo Carzana, Patrick McDowell, Richard Quinn, and Tove.
One of the most anticipated additions is Conner Ives, who will show in September for the first time. Cult favorites Chopova Lowena return with their signature runway event, while rising star Talia Byre is set to make her official runway debut following the success of her presentation last season.
The BFC’s Newgen program, which recently secured another three years of government funding, will continue to spotlight cutting-edge talent. Designers such as Aaron Esh, Charlie Constantinou, Karoline Vitto, and Tolu Coker will present collections, alongside emerging labels like Lucila Safdie, Dreaming Eli, Kseniaschnaider, Kyle Ho, Rory William Docherty, and Unhidden. Fashion East will also celebrate its 25th anniversary, continuing its legacy of nurturing future fashion leaders.
Events and Citywide Celebration
This season’s event calendar is packed. H&M will host The London Issue, a large-scale runway and fashion experience featuring curated music, immersive visuals, and striking design concepts. JW Anderson will team up with the BFC for a relaunch event, while the season will close with a BFC x Outlander party celebrating the fusion of digital fashion and culture.
In line with Weir’s vision to decentralise British fashion, the City Wide Celebration will return with public experiences and activations across London, Liverpool, Manchester, and Newcastle. Educational talks and panels will highlight the cultural roots of British brands such as Barbour, Matty Bovan, Patrick McDowell, SS Daley, Talia Byre, and The Winter House.
