Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS Refine Performance Design With the GEL-TEREMOA II

Technical precision meets sculptural design in the latest evolution of the Novalis partnership.

A New Chapter in the Novalis Line

Kiko Kostadinov continues his ongoing collaboration with ASICS, unveiling the Novalis GEL-TEREMOA II as part of Season 5.

The silhouette arrives in two grounded, nature-driven colorways: “Mosstone/Deep Forest” and “Dark Gull Grey/Black,” reinforcing the line’s balance between performance heritage and contemporary design language.

Built on Texture, Structure, and Movement

At its core, the GEL-TEREMOA II is a study in layered construction. A breathable mesh base sits beneath a complex overlay system, delivering both ventilation and structural support.

A defining feature is the printed outer shell, which references vintage weightlifting footwear. This detail adds a graphic, almost industrial texture to the upper, while still maintaining the streamlined identity of the original TEREMOA design.

Performance Cues Meet Experimental Form

Guided by the philosophy of “Sound Mind, Sound Body,” the shoe subtly evolves the performance intent of earlier models.

Design cues pull from archival silhouettes like the GEL-Speedstar and ASICS-Lift, resulting in a build that feels engineered for balance, speed, and controlled movement rather than pure lifestyle appeal.

A Sculpted Sole With Functional Intent

The sole unit pushes the silhouette into more experimental territory. A raised heel exposes ASICS’ signature GEL cushioning, housed within a complex four-part structure that adds both visual depth and shock absorption.

Geometric detailing across the heel and a clean, tonal lacing system complete the design, keeping branding minimal while emphasizing the collaboration’s technical identity.

Available Now With Wider Release Incoming

The GEL-TEREMOA II is currently available through Kiko Kostadinov’s channels, with a broader rollout expected via select retailers.

As the Novalis line continues to evolve, this release reinforces the partnership’s focus on merging archival performance innovation with forward-thinking design.
