The whisky brand and creative community came together for a hands on celebration of craft and culture.
A Weekend Celebration of Timeless Craft
The Macallan Edit, Curated by Hypebeast, returned for a weekend long series beginning December 12, with a Sip and Create activation hosted at Pearl Box in New York City. Designed as an intimate gathering, the event highlighted The Macallan’s Timeless Collection, showcasing fine aged whiskies ranging from 12 to 30 years in a setting that blended vintage warmth with modern lounge sensibilities.
Guests were invited to slow down, explore the collection, and engage with the brand beyond tasting, creating an atmosphere centered on appreciation, creativity, and connection.
Maxwell Osborne Leads a Custom Experience
Designer Maxwell Osborne, co founder of Public School and founder of anOnlyChild, partnered with The Macallan to lead a customization workshop during the soirée. Drawing on his design background and New York rooted perspective, Osborne guided guests through the creation of personalized keepsakes.
Attendees customized keychain flasks at engraving and workshop stations stocked with decorative decals, ribbons, charms, and city inspired accents. The experience bridged fashion, craftsmanship, and gifting, encouraging guests to create meaningful objects for themselves or others.
Music, Whisky, and a Thoughtful Send Off
Throughout the evening, guests sampled The Macallan’s whisky portfolio through neat pours and specialty cocktails while enjoying a DJ set by Stonie Blue and small plates prepared by Pearl Box. Curated seating, floral arrangements, and glass installations transformed the space, pairing the Timeless Collection with books, zines, and vinyl that reflected the city’s creative energy.
Serving as a toast to the holiday season, the Sip and Create soirée welcomed tastemakers, whisky enthusiasts, and fashion minded guests for a one of a kind retail and lounge experience that celebrated slowing down and savoring the moment.
