Hiroshi Fujiwara continues his streak of Nike collaborations with a sleek reinterpretation of the new Air Max silhouette.
Hiroshi Fujiwara Expands His Nike Collaboration Run
Hiroshi Fujiwara and his label fragment design are continuing a busy year of collaborations with Nike, this time introducing a new take on the Air Liquid Max. The release joins a growing list of projects from the influential streetwear figure in 2026, including collaborations with Union LA on the Air Jordan 1 as well as work on Nike’s Book 2 and Mind series.
Fujiwara has described several of these projects under the idea of fragment concept testing, suggesting an experimental approach to exploring new silhouettes and design directions within Nike’s lineup.
A Minimal Blacked Out Design
The fragment design version of the Nike Air Liquid Max arrives in a dark and understated color palette built around black and anthracite tones. The upper features a mesh base layered with textured printing that shifts between subtle shades of black, giving the sneaker depth while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic.
Chrome Nike Swooshes appear along the sides, adding a metallic contrast against the otherwise monochrome design. Branding details tied to the fragment concept testing project are also present throughout the shoe.
Signature Details and Release Information
The sneaker sits on a sole unit that highlights the model’s point loaded Air cushioning system. Small text elements referencing the model appear along the midsole, alongside an SP26 marking that hints at a Spring 2026 release window.
Additional details include co branded insoles and special packaging created specifically for the collaboration. While Nike and Hiroshi Fujiwara have not confirmed an official release date yet, the fragment design Nike Air Liquid Max is currently expected to launch during Spring 2026 through Nike SNKRS and select retailers with a retail price of 225 USD.
