First Look at Next Year’s Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Banned”

air jordan

A low top take on the iconic Bred look returns with the X heel detail and archival callouts.

The Sneaker

A low top version of the 2011 Banned colorway is expected to appear in 2026 as the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Banned.” This sample recreates the classic black and varsity red palette while swapping the usual heel tab branding for the X motif that nods to the high top edition.

Design Details

The pair includes interior tributes to the model’s history, with text at the sockliner that references September 15, 1984 and a 10.18.84 callout at the collar. The left and right sides stay true to the original Bred color blocking while packaging is reported to be special for this release. The sample suggests the final retail version will preserve these archival touches.

Release and Expectations

Jordan Brand has not officially confirmed the drop yet, but leaks from zSneakerHeadz, Sneaker Files and Sneaker Market RO point to a summer 2026 launch via Nike SNKRS and select retailers worldwide. MSRP is to be confirmed and the SKU shown in coverage is HQ6998-001.
