A sophisticated ode to baseball as both heritage and metaphor.
The Cultural Foundation
Jerry Lorenzo frames Collection Nine as a meditation on America’s pastime. Baseball becomes not just a sport, but a symbol of history, rhythm, and completion. “Nine players in the field, nine innings, nine fruits of the spirit; nine as a symbol of completion,” Lorenzo explains. His own family roots in the game lend the collection an intimate authenticity, balancing cultural reflection with personal narrative.
Design Language
The garments merge Italian tailoring with American ease. Rounded shoulders recall the cut of a baseball jacket, while pinstriped sweatpants nod subtly to Yankee uniforms. Technical ripstop fabrics sit beside fine wool suiting, creating a dialogue between athletic grit and refined elegance. Japanese denim is treated with bleach washes, while classic trucker jackets and suede ankle boots round out the mix. Every silhouette is designed with understatement, allowing texture and proportion to lead.
Accessories and Release
The collection’s accessories carry the theme forward. Leather duffle bags and pouches echo the shape of baseball kit bags, refined through Fear of God’s luxury lens. A new FG monogram threads the pieces together, gesturing toward the iconography of the sport. Collection Nine is slated to release in early 2026, marking another chapter in Lorenzo’s exploration of American culture through design.
