CPFM and Nike ACG Turn the Trail Into a Fever Dream

CPFM

Cactus Plant Flea Market’s maximalist chaos collides with Nike’s outdoor heritage, and the results are deliberately unsettling.

When Cactus Plant Flea Market and Nike ACG connected, nobody expected restraint. CPFM, the Los Angeles design collective known for garish colors, religious imagery, and a general sense of controlled pandemonium, took Nike’s technical outdoor silhouettes and treated them like a blank canvas for visual overload. The result is a collection that looks less like hiking gear and more like what a shaman might wear after a particularly intense vision quest.

The collaboration strips away the minimalist ethos typically associated with modern trail footwear. Instead, CPFM layered psychedelic color blocking, trippy graphic treatments, and unconventional material mixing across classic ACG models. These aren’t shoes designed for subtle performance; they’re designed to mess with your perception. Oversaturated hues collide, patterns compete for attention, and the overall effect is intentionally jarring in a way that signals you’re not trying to blend into nature. You’re trying to become part of the landscape’s fever dream.

The play here works because ACG already exists in that space between legitimate outdoor utility and streetwear theater. Nike’s outdoor line has always carried an almost sci-fi edge, those puffy hiking boots and technical fabrics borrowed from genuine expedition wear but worn primarily on city streets. CPFM simply leaned into that existing contradiction and cranked it past eleven. The collection doesn’t apologize for being garish or excessive. It celebrates that duality as the whole point.
