The designer’s latest collection merges monarchy and anarchy, reclaiming history through a punk-infused lens.
A Story Rooted in Liberation
Carolina Sarria’s Fall 2025 collection, “The War of the Three Kingdoms,” draws inspiration from the 17th century struggles for sovereignty in England, Scotland and Ireland. Arriving at Dover Street Market New York on August 15, the collection reimagines historical symbols of power and identity through a rebellious, contemporary filter.
Symbols Torn and Rebuilt
Tartans are reworked into asymmetrical compositions, reflecting a sense of fragmentation and disorder. Crowns, maps and other imperial emblems are tarnished and ripped apart, while delicate silver and gold threads shimmer like medieval armor and weaponry. The result is both regal and raw, blurring the line between tradition and rebellion.
Punk Spirit and Modern Resilience
While steeped in history, the collection channels the punk subversions of the 1970s, when symbols of aristocracy and military power were dismantled and repurposed. For Sarria, this is clothing for those determined to reclaim their place in the narrative — garments that transform the damaged and discarded into marks of strength. Dover Street Market New York will also feature an exclusive capsule of graphic tees alongside the full FW25 release.
