The global superstar marked his Tokyo debut with a bespoke look designed by New York menswear label Bode.
A Special Performance in Tokyo
Bad Bunny recently performed his first ever show in Japan, taking the stage at Tokyo’s Tipstar Dome Chiba for a special Spotify event celebrating his most dedicated listeners in the region. The invite only “Billions Club” performance welcomed around 2,300 fans who rank among the artist’s top listeners in the country.
While the intimate set created excitement among attendees, the Puerto Rican superstar also drew attention for his carefully crafted stage outfit. For the milestone performance, Bad Bunny collaborated with New York based label Bode to create a custom tuxedo that reflected both the significance of the moment and his evolving influence in fashion.
A Custom Tuxedo With Intricate Details
The bespoke tuxedo showcases Bode’s signature focus on craftsmanship and storytelling through clothing. Across the back of the garment, the word Tokyo appears in stylized characters created with jet black beads and sequins, adding a bold yet elegant visual element to the design.
Instead of traditional tailoring closures, the suit features a hand braided rope belt that ties at the waist. This unusual detail gives the tuxedo a distinctive silhouette while emphasizing the handcrafted nature of the piece.
Vintage Inspired Finishing Touches
Additional details further highlight the artistic approach behind the design. Tassels placed at the cuffs draw inspiration from antique curtain tie backs, introducing a vintage influenced accent that complements the overall look.
The result is a refined yet expressive stage outfit that blends classic tailoring with Bode’s artisanal aesthetic. For Bad Bunny’s first performance in Japan, the custom tuxedo became another reminder of the artist’s growing impact not only in music but also in global fashion.
